You can write a Work Order from multiple different locations but the simplest is to click the Clipboard and plus icon from the Quick Launch bar.
This will give you the option to use a Work Order Template or to Create a Manual Work Order. In this article we will cover a manual work order.
This will launch the new Work Order screen. The top section allows you to include important information including a work order category, a short summary of the work and notes/instructions for your cellar staff.
You can click Add Job to populate your work order with the operations required. You can add as many jobs as you need to the one work order and re-order them by dragging and dropping.
Once your work order is completed you can click Save As. Here you will have the option of selecting Draft or Ready. Use the Draft option if you are yet to fully complete the work order and do not want your staff to complete this, otherwise select Ready.
vintrace will automatically download a Word or PDF document for this work order containing all of the details and jobs you had entered.
Completing your work order
The easiest way to complete a work order is to locate it in the Job Management console by clicking the Clipboard and clock icon.
By default this console will display any jobs with a Draft or Ready status scheduled in the last 2 weeks. If you can't locate your work order from here you can use the work order number to search for it. This will be displayed at the top of the printed work order (e.g TWL1234).
Once located click Complete.
You will then be presented with all of the jobs on your work order. Click Complete on each job to update each operation. The option to Edit or Delete each job is available. Once all jobs are completed the work order will automatically update its Status to Completed.
The Print option will allow you to generate a new copy of the work order.
