When transferring wine to barrel you can use the Transfer to Barrel Group option on a Transfer/Rack/Blend operation or any of the Multi Transfer operations, depending on the number of wine inputs.
Once you've filled out your source vessel and wine batch you can then click New to create a barrel group.
Creating a Barrel Group
Selecting New to create a barrel group will take you to the Barrel Group [CREATE] screen. Here you can define the Barrel group code, location details as well as assign the barrels to be filled.
There are three separate ways to add barrels to your group, either Search, List or Add Line. The Search option will take you to the Barrel Search option allowing you to search your barrel inventory based on a set of criteria. The Add Line options allow you to type in the codes, whilst the List option allows you to type or copy/paste in your barrel codes.
Once your barrels are entered you can determine the volume using the Fill options. By default your barrels will be marked as Full. Read our barrel group details article for further details on setting your barrel volumes.
Now that your barrel group is created you can simple complete your transfer accounting for any losses and your wine should be now located in that barrel group. This can be easily identified along with a listing of your barrels in the Product Overview.
