A single vintrace database can be used across multiple winery facilities to enable greater visibility of your companies operations. It allows you to keep users restricted into one of the wineries or you can allow them to freely switch between facilities. When a user is viewing a particular winery they will only be able to see and work with wines at that location.
If you need this mode enabled in vintrace then please contact email@example.com to discuss.
Configuring user accounts
Once logged in you will see the winery facility your user account is linked in the user information widget on the vintrace desktop.
To set the default winery against a particular user you will need to find and select them from the Address Book. Click Manage System Users to access a list of all your system users.
Select the user you wish to update and then select the default winery from the drop-down list. If you wish for them to have access to all facilities you need to check the Can switch between winery facilities permission.
Switching between wineries
Providing you have the permission to switch between wineries you can use either Tools > Switch winery or from the user information widget.
If you want to work across all facilities then select the [Reset] option.
Moving wine between wineries
– This option allows you to simply move wine by making a transfer to the other facility directly and without using the recommended in-transit work-flow. To enable this option please contact Support at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Reporting on each winery
In addition to the above features you can also run reports and searches based on each facility. The winery filter will allow you to select one of your facilities or if left blank it will cover all of them.
