Work order templates are designed to speed up creating work orders for jobs repeatedly performed in the cellar. The jobs on your work order, as well as any instructions, notes or categories will be copied when using a template. All you will need to provide is the vessels and products to be used. You can set up multiple work orders to be created when using this template for any follow up jobs.
There are two different methods to create these templates, either seeding the details from an existing work order or manually setting up the template.
If you are unsure of how these should be set up it's good practice to trial these in your sandbox first.
Create a template from an existing work order
The simplest way to create a work order template is to use a pre-existing work order. If you've created a work order for a standard set of operations that include all the notes and instructions required you can create your template from this.
Open Winery Setup > Templates > Work Order Templates and select New Work Order Template. Once you've given a name to your template enter in the TWL number of your existing work order in the Add Work Order field. This will populate the jobs from that work order.
You have the ability to then Edit or Delete any of the jobs included on the template. Once you've completed all these steps click Next and you will be taken to the Details tab. Here you can provide the text you would like to be displayed for each entry when using the template to create a work order. Some default text will be provided to guide you.
Create a template manually
The other method to creating a template is to manually add work orders and jobs to your template.
Open Winery Setup > Templates > Work Order Templates and select New Work Order Template. Once you've given a name to your template, click New Work Order and then click Edit next to the work order added.
You will then be taken to the New Work order template section screen. Here you can write a work order that you want as a template, just like any other work order you write.
Using a template to create work orders
Once configured you can then use your template to create a work order. Click the new work order icon from the quick launch bar and select your template.
You will then be prompted to fill in the details of your batches and tanks for your work order on the Job Details tab.
Finally you will be taken to the Schedule tab. Here you can select the date and time for the work to start as well as click Edit if you need to make any changes to this particular usage of your template. This can include adding additional jobs or modifying the existing jobs.
